1/12/15 Collusion

The speaker Gary Kovacs is concerned of websites taking his digital history because these websites take away our privacy that we cherish. They learn our places of residents, interests in preferences, relationships, and financial histories. What the trackers do with this information is make a personal profile for the person that they are tracking and with the data that they have attained from your digital footprint can be used in any way that they want to. Tracking can sometimes be good for you if they ask if they can track your preferences to find what books, movies, or news would suit to you what you would enjoy.
When using Collusion on your laptop it shows the blue dots as the websites you go to and the red and grey dots are the websites that begin to track you. Personally I was surprised on how many websites track you in the digital woods just from one typical day online. For myself I think I would have a lot of dots on my screen because my digital usage is probably more than it should be.
